1. Get clear on your values and your vision.
This is the most critical step for it lays the foundation for all the other steps. Your values are your deeply held beliefs that mold who you are. These values will guide you as you make decisions in your life and move forward to your picture of the future, your vision. You will be able to claim your purpose and answer the question "What legacy will I leave behind?". When you clarify your values and vision you are on the path to a fulfilling, joyful, and empowering life. Enjoy the journey!

2. Manage your time.
Time management is a popular buzz word these days and it is as individualized as you are. Sure, you've tried numerous fads to increase the number of hours in your day and nothing has changed. We will get to the crux of your time problems and devise a system that will work for you. You can achieve a values-based time management program. We will also examine taking the time to plan because as health care providers we spend so much time taking care of everyone else we fail to plan the time that is needed to take care of ourselves.

3. Gain control of your finances.
You will have your finger on the pulse of your personal and professional finances and your spending / saving habits. Live within your means, reduce debt, and set aside monies for the future. Commit to maintaining your financial health.

4. Work on your business, not just in it.
Plan your focus, buffer, and free days and design and implement workable systems for all areas of your practice. Spending the time to systematize your office will increase profitability, reduce stress, and reduce the time you spend fixing problems. End the chaos in your office.

5. Build healthy relationships.
As health care professionals we are trained to take care of everybody. Yet, there are some people who drain the energy from us. Examine what you are tolerating in your relationships. Learn how to eliminate the people who drag you down and build your base of people who can move you forward to your vision. Spend time with those people who accept you as you are and don't try to change you. Engage with like people.

6. Simplify your space.
Does all your "stuff" add meaning to your life or is it just dragging you down? Unclutter your space and see how your outlook on life changes. Many of us are pack rats and we buy and keep way more than we would ever need. We will also take a look at the clutter in your head and devise ways to quiet it. The results are expansive.

7. Maintain health of your mind, body, and spirit.
We are so busy taking care of our patient's needs that we take our own health for granted and ignore it. Our health fuels us and gives us the energy we need to live a fulfilling life. This must be a priority for the health care professional. Make the time for exercise both of mind and body and spend a few minutes every day nourishing your spirit. The rewards are profound.
