Are You Taking The Time To...?
Do you have a lot on your plate?
Are you trying to do it all, and then some?
Did one more to-do come across your desk today?
Is your time running away from you?
Stop! There is more to do with your time than fill it up with to-dos and work. These oftentimes add more stress to your life and can leave you longing for more.
So the next time you're allowing the craziness of your world to overwhelm you, take time for the 12 things below. Your life will thank you.
Take Time for 12 Things
- Take time to Work - it's the price of success.
- Take time to Think - it's the source of power.
- Take time to Play - it's the secret of youth.
- Take time to Read - it's the foundation of knowledge.
- Take time to Worship - it's the highway of reverence and washes the dust of Earth from our eyes.
- Take time to Help and Enjoy Friends - it's the source of happiness.
- Take time to Love - it's the one sacrament of life.
- Take time to Dream - it hitches the soul to the stars.
- Take time to Laugh - it's the singing that helps life's loads.
- Take time for Beauty - it's everywhere in nature.
- Take time for Health - it's the true wealth and treasure of life.
- Take time to Plan - it's the secret of being able to have time for the first 11 things.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard, in Star Trek
"The secret to life is enjoying the passage of time."
James Taylor
"We're so busy watching out for what's just ahead of us that we don't take time to enjoy where we are."
Calvin and Hobbes
"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."

There's no denying that my world has been crazy lately. Between my travels, I am fitting in working on four upcoming presentations, finalizing my 7 Steps 2 a Balanced Life Home Study Program, starting a new project (to be unveiled later), keeping up with correspondence and e-mail, and leading AAWD. Whew! I am focusing on one at a time, though, and that seems to help me reduce overwhelm.
Revisiting Take Time for 12 Things reminds me to take the time. That's take the time to enjoy friends, family, playing, dreaming, laughing, and more. Sometimes we forget to step back from our crazy lives and thus lose all semblances as to what is important to us. What truly adds meaning to our lives?
You know your answer.
Have a fantastic week and take the time.
Stephanie
