 The Good For You Laws

Some may argue there are too many laws on the book; some may argue there are too few.  Whatever your thoughts, there are certain laws that MUST be obeyed.  These laws are the ticket to living your best life.

The Law of Belief:  whatever you believe, with feeling, becomes your reality.

If you love and respect yourself, and you believe yourself capable of accomplishing great things, you are almost certain to achieve far more than if you doubt yourself, or if you do not believe in your personal potential.

Low self-confidence, fear, doubt, and worry can keep you from living your best life.  You must rise above those beliefs and believe, think, speak, and act always in a positive manner AND you must keep company only with those who believe in you.

The Law of Expectations: whatever you expect, with confidence, becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you expect the best of yourself and others, which is the natural expression of a loving attitude, you will seldom be disappointed.  You will acquire far more of the things you want if you confidently expect good things to happen to you, and you behave accordingly.

If you go into a situation expecting the worst or expecting to fail, chances are you will.  Change the way you talk to yourself and turn that negative expectation into a positive one.  Get good at becoming your own cheerleader.

The Law of Attraction: you invariably attract into your life people and circumstances in harmony with your dominant thoughts.

When you think kind and loving thoughts about yourself and others, you attract kind and loving people to you....They assure fulfillment in your work and satisfaction in your personal relationships.

Your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and actions all must be in harmony for you to become a magnet attracting that which you want in your life.  If you want positive, you must think, believe, feel, and act positive.

The Law of Correspondence:  your outer world will be a reflection of your inner world.

If you have a kind, gentle, and loving nature, your outer world of relationships, health and material success will be marked by health, happiness and prosperity.

Live from the inside out.  Live in accordance to your values.  Your values influence your beliefs which in turn influence your expectations and attitudes, and ultimately your actions.

The Law of Concentration: whatever you dwell upon grows.

If you continually choose to think loving thoughts about yourself and others, you "grow" more loving relationships in every part of your life.

You get more of what you focus on.  It's as simple as that. "No longer lend your strength to that which you wish to be free from," sang Jewel.

The Law of Substitution:  you can replace a negative thought with a positive thought.  When you consciously select the content of your conscious mind, and keep your thoughts focused on love, patience, tolerance and forgiveness, you crowd out negative thoughts that disrupt your peace of mind, undermine your health and energy and harm your relationships.

The key word is "consciously".  Your conscious mind is fully developed.  You have a choice what to think.  Choose a positive thought.

The Law of Subconscious Activity:  any thought, plan, goal or idea you can hold continuously in your conscious mind will be brought into reality by your superconscious mind.

You can have a wonderful life, full of happy, loving relationships, characterized by health, energy and the experience of joy, by thinking continually about the things you really want in your life and keeping your mind off of the things you don't want.

You can't argue with that advice.

These 7 laws were written ages ago, yet still hold true to this day. Those who obey will receive the ticket to living their best life.

The above laws were excerpted from Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy.

"If you believe you can, you probably can.  If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't.  Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad."

            Denis Waitly

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind."

            William James

"We are what we think.  All that we are arises with our thoughts.  With our thoughts, we make the world."

            Buddha

"Our circumstances answer to our expectations and the demand of our natures."

            Henry David Thoreau

When obeyed, these 7 laws can enhance the quality of your life.  After all, you are the product of your thoughts and when you are able to consistently gain control over those thoughts, you can win.  That's simple to say and more difficult to put into practice, yet I know you can do it. When I feel like wallowing in negativity (which yes, still does occur on occasion), I make use of the Law of Substitution and snap out of it. That negativity can be replaced with thoughts of a more positive nature!

I encourage you to keep these laws close at hand and review them daily. Work them so that they become second nature and you'll be well on the way to living your life to the fullest.

The Balance Beam will be on hiatus for a few weeks as my family travels toHawaiifor theADAmeeting and some fun in the surf.  It's our first trip to the islands, so we're very excited.

Have a fantastic few weeks and obey the good for you laws.
